Earth Hour 2010

Earth Hour 2012 will be held on Saturday 31 March at 8.30 pm.  Why don't you join in and turn off your electric lights for an hour?

Earth Hour started in Sydney in 2007 and we have taken part for the last four years. The idea is to turn off your lights for an hour at 8.30 pm and help reduce carbon emissions from electric lighting. When we all do a little bit, it adds up to a large bit. Please click on the Earth Hour logo on the right and register your home, school or business for this year.

This year, Earth Hour is asking people to hold an Unplugged event, where not only the lights are off, but the entertainment is electricity-free - unplugged. We will be participating in Earth Hour again this year although as yet we don't know if it will be only family.  Some years it is just us, others it is a larger group of people.

Beeswax candles from Queen B Beeswax Candles are the only solution (in my opinion) for lighting as they are beautiful, non-toxic and (according to WWF) they are carbon neutral. They look and smell fantastic and you don't pollute the planet by burning them.

We look forward to a beautiful evening.
